Brake fluid always looks terrible?

I’ve had my brake fluid “flushed” twice this past year. I feel like it already looks terrible 2 days later. Is that normal or are they not actually flushing the whole system?

I had a similar issue with an old Honda. A few weeks later the master cylinder went bad... when the clutch quit completely there were black chunks all throughout the fluid reservoir. Hope it's not the same with yours.

Seems odd. Had the brake fluid flushed twice in my 08, offer 210,000km. It took a long while not to be clear in appearance.

Mine looked like this when I flushed after changing the brake lines.


I ran so much fluid through my system that eventually it just kept coming out clean.

It's almost impossible to have completely clear fluid in an older master because the residue is built up on the sides of the reservoir. You can get it close but will never be perfect.

Doesn't hurt to try. That doesn't look like fresh, recently flushed fluid to me.

I'd go back and be polite but firm, and request a redo.
