Black ring on tailpipe

While I was installing my Evo fascia I noticed my tail pipe had a black ring around the tip. Never noticed this before hopefully I'm not burning a bunch of oil or something. Anyone else seen this?
Don't mind the black paint splatter that is from me and unrelated to the ring I'm talking about.

Well searching around on the Google it sounds like it's pretty normal. Guess I just never noticed haha. I did check my oil level and I'm a bit on the high side. Not sure that it would cause that but it's getting close to needing a change anyway

That is definitely normal. All three of the JKs I owned had it and I have never had oil consumption problems.
