Here's what I came up with, granted I had a lot of pieces to work with.
A little backstory:
I have a GoPro HD and a GoPro2. The GP HD I ordered as a kit along with a chesty mount and the grab bag of attachments (the contents of the grab bag are different now), the GP2 I ordered as a moto kit so I could have those mounts just in case since the kit price was the same and I pretty much had everything else already mount wise.
I also have a Rugged Ridge mirror relocation kit that I no longer use as I wasn't real happy with view from them, pain to adjust and real bad blind spots on passenger side.
So here's what I did...
Threw all the parts pieces and what not in a pile.
Sorted out all the pieces that would not work
Mocked up and able to operate from inside the jeep, a little bit of a reach but not bad.
Enough clearance to open door
Since I don't have any intention of re-using the mirrors I opted to grind the nut off the relocation bracket. I will re-use the suction cup mount so I didn't want to modify any of those pieces.
A little sanding and rattle can black
Final product ready to mount. I still need to run by the hardware store to get a hex head bolt with match thread for the twist nuts from the suction mount since that bolt has a square shoulder and nothing to prevent it from spinning to tighten.
Out of all the parts I had on hand I just needed the suction mount and the brackets from the RR relocation kit, and I am able to adjust right, left, up, down.
