This is late notice but Sunday (7/12/15) a friend and I will be going to Beasleys Knob in Blairsville GA. Anyone and everyone is welcome to come join us. We will be meeting up at the McDonalds in Dawsonville Ga (here is the address - 50 GA-400, Dawsonville, GA 30534) at 8:30. If this would be out of the way we can meet at the main entrance of the park. As of right now the park is open and weather should be good for Sunday. If for some reason the Rangers decide to close the park we will most likely end up messing around in North Ga. I will edit this post if the park status changes.

Just got back from Beasley yesterday. Trail condition was probably the best I've ever seen it. Not too wet or too dry. Wish I could head back that way and meet up.

On a side note Charlie's creek road has been grated flat and the spur trail is completely blocked off. Bell mountain is still open though.

How rough is it now? I havent been there since last year and from what I have seen it has gotten a good bit easier. Odds are if I dont spend most of the day there ill be coming home near Dodd Rd.

With it being fairly dry there wasn't anything very challenging. I could tell it had been worked on since the last time I went. Last time I was there it was 4 years ago and it was muddy so I was a bit nervous of how slick it was. Honestly bell mountain was more challenging.

I've never been to Dodd rd, but have seen your pics from Instagram and think it's probably a better time wheeling than Beasely. I wish there were good long trails in GA, everything here you can do in 2wd it seems.

Yeah there isnt a lot of challenging park. To get the rough stuff a lot of it is private. I spend most of my time over in Alabama because in 2 hours I can be at Morris Mountain and 2.5 I can be at Choccolocco Mountain.

You didnt happen to go up trail 93B while you where there did ya? That used to be a nasty trail. Im hoping it still lives and is untouched.

I need to get over to Alabama to wheel. I work there a lot and just can't bring my self to pack up the family after a long week in AL/MS and head back.

Not sure if I went on 93b we didn't get a map or take a pic of the one posted just kind of rode around for a couple hours. Thought we hit everything (is it a dead end or does it circle through). We had the trails to ourselves and didn't encounter anything nasty.

Its near the back entrance off the main road. Its used to be a big rock garden up the hill. I guess tomorrow im gonna find out what it looks like.
