Battery Alternative

I am going to need a new battery soon, and my research has naturally led me to the yellow top Optima battery but I have found for the price they charge the quality and longevity is not equal anymore. If I am wrong please let me know who is using them (pros/cons) or what alternative choices you went with on your JKU build. Appreciate the feedback.

Make sure that the brand you buy is well supported wherever you expect to be. A nice warranty does not help if a replacement is difficult to obtain when the battery fails.
This^^

Used Odyssey for a long time until I had to warranty one, what a PIA with the time taken with the back-and-forth emails. After 3 weeks they approved the warranty but informed me they would not warranty the replacement with me sending it back for inspection (I pay shipping back and for the replacement) and it took 2 weeks to get the replacement - never again.

Why I switched to buying warrantied parts at Orielly's when possible; places I travel to I've been able to find a local Orielly's.

I’ve had good luck with interstate megatron. Good warranty my TJ battery is 7 years old and my jk is coming up on 5 years. Neither leak warranty is good and replacements are easy to find.

Same here. I've gotten the last few batteries for our vehicles from Costco (interstate). The last one in my JK lasted nearly 9 years. Just put a new one in our JL. Cost $188 for an interstate AGM. Stupid expensive.

Another vote for auto parts store with the longest warranty. I’ve had good luck with Die Hard batteries in the Jeep since getting it. First one lasted 4 years with no issues. Believe the warranty was 3 or 4 years too.
