The axle housing is already built up I am just looking for input on axle shafts that will hold up versus going with a set of RCV's
Have you broken a factory shaft yet?
Look for a chromoly shaft that has full circle clips and you will be good to go. I would look at Revolution ten factory as they both have amazing warranties
Agreed. If and when you need new shafts, I personally wouldn't waste my money on RCV's and would just get a good set of chromoly shafts with full circle clips. RCV's end up making loud snapping/popping noises that they'll tell you is "normal" and if you twist your splines, they'll tell you that's "normal" too.
I just ran into this with a buddy of mine. He bought a take off Rubi 44 for his Sahara that had RCV's installed. They sound horrible! RCV wanted around $90 each for the rebuild kits, or send the shafts to them. After taking them out (PITA without removing the knuckle) to rebuild, we noticed the splines didn't look that great. Was also told this was normal. The noises have come back within 2,000mi.
He'll be going to Ten Factory shafts just to get rid of the noise in the near future.

That's ridiculous to spend that kind of money for an offroad product that won't stand behind it.

So fricking glad I didn't go with RCV shafts. I feel like I dodged a bullet on that decision!
For that kind of money on axle shafts, I really do want to have my cake and eat it too. There's no reason to deal with those damn noises...
Me too. I'm running Ten Factory shafts. Fortunately, there was enough info on here that pushed me towards standard chromo shafts. I wouldn't have even upgraded my factory front shafts if it wasn't for getting a killer package deal while replacing a bent factory rear.
Anyone ever heard of carbon Offroad chromoly axle shafts? 10 year warranty and come pre assembled
Not sure what warranty there is on the others but I'm in the process of ordering Revolution American Made shafts because they basically have a no-fault lifetime warranty on not just the ball joint but the entire axle - plus they are generally less expensive than others. Brandon at Revolution is immediately responsive to any question you may have.
