Did searches on several forums and could not find any information about the ARB skid plates. I read several articles and press releases on the skids and decided to buy them. Below are pictures that show a lot more detail than what ARB has released. Some say the ARB skid plate is too expensive, but when you consider that the evaporator skid is included, its not that bad.
Two of the brackets upfront are mounted on the motor mounts. Don’t have a lift so took it the Globex for the install. The skids come powder coated. Install of the motor-mount brackets was more difficult.
Evaporator skid was very simple to install but tight against one of the hoses. Took it for a test ride and after about 30 minutes engine yellow light came on. It was caused by the slight bend on the hose pinching against the evap skid that. Cleared the codes and took it for another test ride and everything is back to normal. Marked where it has to be cut and will take care of it tomorrow.
