ARB locker question

First time with ARBs. Can you leave the hubs locked all the time and just engage the Air lockers as needed or should you only lock the hubs when you are wheeling and are actually need the lockers?

I don't have locking hubs but everybody I know that does, would always have them locked if four wheel drive is needed. Use your lockers when necessary.

If the hubs are not locked u don't have 4wheel drive. Its like having the transmission in neutral. So lock the hubs when u go off road and unlock on dd/highway driving. Use lockers when needed

leave the hubs unlocked when DD.it will save wear and tear on your front end parts.with the hubs unlocked your front drive train is not turning.
lock the hubs when you hit the trail,use the t-case and lockers when needed.

You guys think it's worth switching to locking hubs? It seems like a great idea if you're going to DD the thing to save on gas and wear and tear but how much of a difference is it really?

What he said. There are benefits to having locking hubs and if you've paid to get them installed, you should take advantage of them. Leave them unlocked for daily driving :yup:

No, or at least, not on a factory Dana 44. They are expensive and will require you to change out your wheels to a 5x5.5 bolt pattern. That will require you to address how your rear wheels get mounted as well.
