ARB in Dana 30 or new G2 Dana 44, 35 spline

I know this is comparing apples and artichokes, but I can't really afford the new G2 right now. Should I spend the money on the Dana 30 and put the ARB Locker in or wait. I got in a position on a black diamond run in Hollister that I couldn't get out of. Everybody else with lockers in front and back made it through. Maybe a little less air might of helped? I did learn how to use the winch....

I am assuming you are talking front axle.

G2 does not do a 35 spline front. As I recall, its just the standard 30 spline for the front.

D30 to D44, you gain in a little bit stronger R&P, but gain mostly in bigger parts inside the ARB. Otherwise, there is not much gain. Depends on what you are going to do with it.

My preference would be for the D44. I have one and run 37s. I have used, but not abused it and had no problems. Though I did skid plate the LCA mounts and put in a good passenger side UCA mount.

I would save the money and just use your winch for now.
