Alternator type

Hi everyone
I'm installing a dual battery dcdc charger in my 2012 JKU. but I need to identify the alternator type. I.e. Is it a variable voltage like the grand or temperture compensating or what?
Appreciate your help.

It's a 160amp variable voltage alternator. You should be able to get 160amps above 2K revs
