All Cleaned Up

Finally got around to cleaning up my JKU. I decided after over a year of not running the hard top to put it back on for a change of look and I like it so much better lifted and all the goodies with the hard top than stock with hard top. Let me know what you think.....The first one is with bikini top then following with hard top.

I know I'm waiting to get 37's later this year.
I put the hard top on because we have a few trips coming up this month and its still a little chilly at night for my 3 year old daughter so I would rather run the hard top than not be able to drive at night with her, and my soft top has taken a beating and just looks ragged so I need to buy a new soft top or I would have put that on.

Ah, that's understandable.

What's up with the black hood? Doesn't really fit with the look in my opinion.

My clear coat started pealing off really bad and all the paint shops wanted $300-$400 to re-paint the hood and I had some Raptor Liner (bed liner) laying around so I toned down the texture to almost none and sprayed the hood. Its flat black with no clear on it. The color change had to grow on me but I've noticed I get no glare from my windshield lights and those pesky branches and bushes on the trails stand no chance of leaving pin striping on the hood. It is pretty un-scratchable so far, but ya I know, its a little different.

Looks great bro! I've been rolling with my hardtop and trail doors on. Feels nice and open with just enough wind. Not too cold that way for my late night ride to work.

I kinda like that look with the black hood. It's on its way to being all black! Hey.
Not a real fan of the hard top. I like the iconic look of the soft top. I sold my hard top and bought a new soft top.

That is good news cause we will have trail doors on for Big Bear Forest Fest in a couple weeks with the hard top on.

I'm partial to the hard top myself but with my soft top looking ragged from the trails and just being 5 years old I didn't want to put it back on, even though the soft top is my #1 choice for tops on the Jeep. Plus like I said before, my daughter has been going on all our wheeling trips now so I have to accommodate

Hey, looks great! Sharp looking rig. I'm a fan of the dual tops as well.
