Airbag Recall or Clockspring?

I have a 2012 JKUR. Yesterday while driving I had the airbag light come on. It will go off and on while driving. I have yet to take care of the recall and was wondering if it was because of this or is the clockspring going out? The light doesn't bother me as much as the "ding" that happens everytime it turns on...haha. Just trying to plan on what repairs will have to be made. Any ideas are much appreciated.

I’m having the same problem with mine. I’m hoping that the outstanding recalls for the clockspring and airbags will take care of it. Just been procrastinating taking it to the dealer. And yes that freaking ding is annoying as hell.

I’ve been watching the Jeep app. ever since they announced they airbag recall to see if mine was on the list and it never has been. Now all of a sudden I get the letter in the mail 2 days ago. So basically they new it was a problem and let me drive around for over a year not notifying me about it. Thanks Jeep

For those of you who just got recall notices which ones are you referring to? I just pulled the recalls on my jeep and it's the heated mirror and passenger side airbag. Is there another?

I got the recall, took the Jeep in, and the air bag light is still permanently on. Maybe the dealership guy was BSing me, be he claimed the light being on is unrelated to the recall. Told me it’d be 500 bucks or so to fix. I said no thanks, I’ll live with the light. [emoji37]

I would call up Victorville motors and make an appointment. Can’t beat free repairs and if your lucky you might get a rental of the new 2019 ram 1500 aha. But they may schedule the repair for the month after you call.
