WAYALIFE,
I’ve been jeeping now for about 4 months and today I removed my front bumper for the first time to install my new J.W. speaker fog lights. The bumper is some full width Chinese front bumper that came with the Jeep I can’t even find the brand but regardless I cannot slide the 8 bolts and bumper back into the frame horns. The housing in the bumper where the bolts feed through wiggle around a lot so when I try and slide it on they end up misaligned.
The bumper plus winch have to weigh nearly 150 pounds I was thinking about taking the winch off but I don’t think I could get it back on if I removed it. It’s another made in China product that came with the Jeep at the time of purchase and the housing for the bolts are rusted to shit. Would greasing the frame horn and bolts help or make matters worse?
If anyone has any suggestions, advice, or any tips that have worked for them on a similar issue it would be a huge help!
Cheers,
