A dream of mine was fulfilled today

Well I've never ever driven an old jeep. I've always wanted to. A co worker of mine drove his fully restored 1979 Jeep CJ7 Renegade to work, came up to my desk, and tossed me the keys. All I have to say is man, old iron is awesome and I deeply deeply want one now

Awesome you are one lucky stiff. I've always had a love for the old ones. My first Jeep was a 76 Wagoneer with a 401 it was awesome. Thx for reminding me about it. 👍

The wife and I were just talking about this yesterday. Our new rigs have been very practical and great for all the highway driving we do, but man do we miss the CJ7. If I could only use one word to describe it, FUN!

How cool is that and in an awesome CJ7 at that too :thumb:

The restoration on this thing is top notch. It's an absolute gem to drive. We even played around with it in the dirt lot behind the dealership climbing hills and stuff. I'd love to own one, especially after seeing your garage full of old iron

Sounds like you're hooked! Can't wait to see your first old iron :D
