The last run we got to do with our good friend Adam while he was visiting us here in Northern Nevada, was one up a trail just east of Reno and known as, Bronco Canyon. As luck would have it, Trail Bud and getoverit (Russ and Naomi) were both able to join us as well as an unexpected guest all the way from Oregon, JK_b/c_yolo (Bobbie). Here are just a few pics from all the fun we had out on the trail. I would have taken more but I was doing most of the driving this day and Cindy was doing some filming. Still, I hope you enjoy what I was able to take.
At the trailhead airing down and getting ready for a great day.
Before we got into the rocks, we made a stop over at the Lagomarsino Petroglyph Site to check out one of the largest rock art sites in the State of Nevada.
Because there is no vehicle access out here, you have to take a short hike to see the really good stuff.
There are over 2,000 petroglyph panels here and some that are over 10,000 years old.
Heading up into the canyon, Adam starts to make his way around a nasty mud hole that swallowed up our 40" tires the last time we were here.
Bobbie decided that was a good idea and followed suit.
As did Russ and Naomi and even Trail Bud in spite of the fact that he has a snorkel. Mud just isn't our thing I guess.
With all the new spring growth, the normally thick trail was even thicker and eager to lay down some custom Northern Nevada pin stripping.
If it weren't for the fact that Adam's Jeep was so bright, I don't know if I would have seen him in my rear view mirror.
Out in the open and out on the rocks!
Time to kick things up a notch.
Working our way further up the trail.
More fun to be had.
Out of the rocks and heading back up to the top.
Again, I apologize for the lack of photos but hope you enjoyed what I was able to post up. A BIG Thanks goes out to everyone who was able to join us for this fun run up Bronco Canyon and on a weekday. This is especially true for Bobbie who literally had to head back up to Oregon shortly after getting back onto pavement. I hope to do it again with all of you soon.
