99 xj build

Ive been on wayalife for a year or two now and i love going through all the builds. Ive personally built up a jkr, a jkur, and an xj. Currently building another xj. Unfortunately I wont be able to keep it, just recently had a baby jeeper and need the money.

A little about the xj. Its a 99 sport 4 door. Power everything. Purchased it about 2 hrs away for a killer deal of $400. It came with a 3" lift, locker in the rear, worn down 33s. Has no front doors, and some body damage to the drivers fender and grille.

When I first got it home, I started with a basic tune up, battery, belt, spark plugs, wires, oil change, also got a new starter for it.

I then got some 35s for it on craigslist, 1/4 tread left. Also picked up some bedliner to bedline the interior.

Here is some pics of how it looks on the 33s. Haven't gotten the 35s mounted yet. Will do that this week along with cutting fenders, getting new body panels and doors. Then off to paint.

went up to lkq yesterday and picked up some doors and a new fender. Fender is the same color and doors are unfortunately green.

The xmas build lol. Got my new used fender installed. Just need to get the angle grinder out and cut it up and cut the rears and get a front clip and bumper for it

Cut the front fenders, cut the rear quarter panel, cut and folded the rear. Ignore the black paint. That was thrown on it to prevent rust til its painted in the upcoming few weeks.

Been ignoring this xj build. Done a few things to it lately. Getting it ready to paint the weekend before thanksgiving. But done some more maintenance on it mechanically. Pulled the roof rack down and painted that. Pulled a few dents and dings out. Cut the front bumper down into a stubby for tire turning clearance. Will post up the painting pics in a few weeks when we hit it.

Tested out the full flex yesterday after I got it running how I wanted it. Did brakes and an oil change and secured the front bumper.

Was the original plan but have decided to build it up and sell it due to starting a family. Will probably upgrade the jku with some of it though.

Finally got to bedline the xj project today. Turned out better than i thought, waiting on a new grille still but still looks pretty good to me. Used 11 cans of bedliner to do.

Looking good. I like XJs. I'd like to get one in maybe 5 years.

Worked some more on the xj this holiday weekend. Got the new grille bedlined and installed, painted all the inner door jams, tinted the taillights and mounted some reverse lights on the lift gate, and replaced the lift gate shocks. Will post pics tomorrow when its light outside. Project is almost done, also traded it for another xj and some cash to a buddy.
