Going to Take my Bike to The Tail of the Dragon on the end of the Month. While there would love to take the Jeep out on a trail. Does anyone have any suggestions near Robbinsville NC.

Lots of Forest Service roads in the Pisgah National Forest if you are looking for some easy trails (gravel roads) to explore.

If your travels take you near Troy, NC there is some great off road trails in the Uwharrie National Forest.

I've rode part of the tail on my Harley. Awesome riding! I imagine a jeep trail would be some good wheeling on the mountains.

Man, I haven't heard any mention of this area around Dill's Gap, N.C. in a long time. Not really a ride associated with jeep forums I guess :icon_crazy: I have been on that heavenly switchback many times and always middle of the week too when there are no crowds. Rode it on my Harley's and a few times and on my old Suzuki TL1000S and TL1000R (I like V twins :) ) I also drove it once in my Superformance Cobra, which was the best trip out of all the others.

There might not be much area to off road in because there is so much national forest up there in the Apalachians.

As a native to east TN, if anyone wants the real deal hit Hwy 116 that goes straight through Coal Creek OHV - 72,000 acres of off-road heaven. Deal's Gap is pathetic and overrun with tourists and police.

Hoping the VTX is ready. Had to have a new switch put in at dealer. Of course a week to get one. Thankfully I still have the 83 V45 Magna.

Towed the Bike with the Jeep a total of 2000 miles. 15 mpg avg. Jeep towed the bike with no problems. North Carolina and Tenn. were great Actually drove the Jeep on the Dragon 1st. We got lost at arrival and climbed a very steep shale covered rode towing the bike. No problems Very impressed with the JK. And I didnt add any parts to the tree of shame.
