40s without beadlocks

So I’ve got 1-tons on the way and looking for wheels… i will be running 40s but don’t feel the Beadlock will be necessary for 95 percent of my wheeling. I know “then why 1-tons”… went 1-ton because we go out a lot with one rig and sometimes a lot of extra gear/weight- also didn’t want to invest so much into the 44. But, would it be weird to run a 40 with a non beadlock wheel if wheeling in lighter snow maybe once a year and not really doing any black diamond trails/obstacle? i don’t see myself really going below 14/15psi. Don’t feel like the extra price, weight and maintenance maybe be worth it for my wheeling but maybe i am missing something as i don’t feel like I’ve seen a rig on 40s without beadlocks

Check out the Dirty Life DT series can run them as a non beadlock but if you change your mind you can buy the rings and convert to beadlocks.
I ran them on my TJ non beadlock for quite awhile then bought the rings

I got tons and 40s on some methods and their bead grip seems to work great. I air down to 12 all the time and at 15psi I wouldnt even worry about de-beading unless I do something really dumb. They also balance great. All my nittos have 1oz or less per wheel.

That said bead locks would be better but I understand if you dont want the bead lock drama

Kind of feel like you like answered your own question here...

But I can't help but question why you went tons and insist on 40s if this is your concern here.
Tons because most of our trips are with the one vehicle so the extra strength makes us feel a little better about that and I’ve been on 37s for a long time and just want to try out 40s since i have the clearance and axles for it.

You’re going to need to buy new wheels anyway? I just took a tire (37 nonbeadlock) off the bead on my last off-road adventure so I’m going to suggest spend the xtra bucks on bead locks. As you said you are relying on one rig so why not make it as bulletproof as you can?
