3.8 JK Diesel?

Is a gas 3.8 supposed to sound like a diesel? Lol. Sounds loudest where engine and tranny meet.

Probably blown exhaust manifold and/or something else in the exhaust piping.

I replaced manifolds last year, I’m going to check them again though. It only sounds like this after it heats up.

They have a tendency not to last very long. What did you use to replace them?

I replaced them with the stock style from crown.

I ask because both of mine need replacement and I haven't decided to get the Crowns or Mopar. Let me know what you find when you look at them.

Just pulled the heat shields and checked the manifolds. Everything looks good, no cracks anywhere and all the bolts are nice and tight. Looks like the crown manifolds can last at least a year.

Didn't find anything. It runs great, it's just noisy. I've looked at everything at my skill level. I might have to eventually take it to a shop and get it looked at. Or just RTF it.......
