3.0l Diesel Oil recommendations?

Boy I do a search on the internet and I get 1,000 different opinions? What do you guys think... I know what the specs are for the Gen 3 Diesel but I would like to find out what the best oil to use... Eddie any comments.

As in brand? Use whatever you want and use the weight listed on your oil cap. You will be good

Yes Brand I have used Motul last two changes it was recommended for the Gen 3

On newer vehicles, especially with a warranty, I stick with what the manufacturer recommends.

I have been searching this too. The manual says to use only oil that meet spec MS-12991 and API SN. But the only 5-W40 oil that I can find in my area so far is Shell Rotella T6 which doesn't say it meets MS-12991. The Pennzoil Platinum Euro is supposed to be good from what I have read. I am going to try and find that.
