In case any of you all wondered where the famous Las Cruces Chile Challenge went (from the Las Cruces Area), I wanted to let you know that it moved to Caballo Lake State Park (event HQ) a couple of years ago - near Truth or Consequences New Mexico. There is a wide range of trails ranging from easy to extreme. For those familiar with Carnage Canyon by Buena Vista Colorado, I've heard it said that the extreme trails (11 and 12 rated) start out at the difficulty of Carnage and go up from there. This is a great event, incredibly well organized (continues to be run by the Las Cruces 4WD Club), and is suitable for most Off Road Machines and Driver Skills. Check it out on the web. On line registration starts on June 1.
