2017 SEMA - ROAMR Jeep Gladiator Tomahawk

What do you get when you take a mid 1970's Jeep J-200, throw a Gladiator Rhino grill on it, pop a 401 V8 under the hood, paint it a nice Anvil Grey and modernize it with new Metalcloak suspension and all kinds of overlanding gear including pop-up tent? Well, you get a pretty sharp looking ROAMR Tomahawk pickup truck just like the one that was on display in the South Hall of the 2017 SEMA Show. Check it out. :cool:

I like the truck...a lot. It seems that the roof top tent should open on the other side so you can use the awning when in camp and climb up the ladder on the other side...
 
Looks to be a jeep branded version of free spirit recreation's Adventure Series hard shell tent. Cool tech but way too small for me. It sets itself up via wireless remote and has small solar panels integrated into the hardshell.

Okay...I'm seriously digging the tent...opens & closes automatically in 30 seconds using a fob or an app on your phone...set up camp while drinking a beer
 
I’ve been waiting for this to make its debut ever since I saw the concept art. They did a fantastic job with this build. I’d love to see it out on the trail.
 
I am digging this. Love the color. Would have chosen something besides the gimmicky six pack shocks. Noticed they used switch-pros instead of spod, so that’s good. That rtt is pretty awesome. The gladiator front grill is always awesome.
 
I like the truck (had a j200 in college), anyways I do like the RTT, would like to see more info and price? Footprint size?
 
Pretty cool truck minus some of the suspension choices. Though, I just can’t imagine that tent with a hard shell surviving heavy wind.

I watched a YouTube vid with one erected driving on a road doing about 50...it was their wind test
