Like the 2015 Uwharrie run, there will not be a cap on those attending. We will have run groups divided to ensure everyone is able to have ample trail time. As details for the weekend are firmed up (trails, group dinner, etc.), I will continue to update this post. When requesting to be added to this run, please include which run group you would like to be a part of and how many people will be riding with you.
Also, this event is for Wayalife members. If you have friends that would like to join the event, please direct them to sign up!

*There are multiple options at the Windrock Campgrounds. You can choose to primitive camp, RV camp, or to rent a cabin. For primitive camping, we will have access to the Group Camp area so that we can all be together in a group. There is plenty of room for anyone and everyone to camp within this area and reservations do not need to be made if this is your choice. If you choose to RV camp or rent one of the cabins, you will need to contact the Campground Office at the number provided above. For cabins, they can be reserved as early as a year out and I know that they have been booked up from spring of 2015 through this Thanksgiving, so I would recommended calling and reserving ASAP.

Permits:
Permits can be purchased at the Windrock General Store, Windrock Campground Office, Comfort Inn Oak Ridge, Windrock Bed and Breakfast, and Shell Fun Food (557 Tri-County Boulevard, Oliver Springs, TN 37840). EVERYONE NEEDS TO HAVE A PERMIT AT ALL TIMES WHEN ON THE TRAILS, THIS INCLUDES PASSENGERS. Yes, they do run permit checks.
Run Group Requirements and Recommendations:
*PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT THERE WILL BE TECH INSPECTIONS TO ENSURE REQUIREMENTS ARE MET FOR EACH GROUP. If you do not meet the requirements at the time of tech, you will have to run the group within which all requirements are met.
Event Rides and Information: Updated 7/21/16
TECH INSPECTION:
There will be a tech inspection at check-in for the event. You MUST check-in and be inspected prior to running with the groups. Check-ins will occur the majority of the day Thursday, as well as 30 minutes prior to meet up times on Friday and Saturday. Your rig will be inspected and classified based on it's equipment. (i.e. If your rig meets the qualification for the Advanced group, you will be able to run with Advanced or any group below.) This will make it easier for group leaders to ensure that rigs are capable of running in the group they are leading without having to fully inspect the rig.
NIGHT RUNS: 8/25 and 8/26
There will be night runs on Thursday night and Friday night. We will have 2 different groups each night (Advanced and Intermediate) and would appreciate it if you only ran on 1 of the nights. As of right now the groups will meet at the Group Camp Pavilion at 8:00pm and head towards the trail by 8:30pm. Those NOT running will be able to come watch on trail 15 if wanted.
