2012 Wrangler JK intermittent stalling issue

Good afternoon. My 2012 JK has recently developed a problem where it will lose power to the point of the engine basically stalling out. No warning, no signals on dash, no codes at the time of the event. After waiting a few minutes, it will start back up and drive ok. The last time it started ok and drove normally for about 20 minutes, then started hesitating and bucking every so often. Those symptoms would die off and return, but it never got to the point of the engine totally stalling out. I have had the camshaft position sensor and the crankshaft position sensor both changed out. The issue still occurs. My mechanic is at a loss. I have learned (unfortunately) that this a more common problem than I would like.

I was wondering if there has been any new developments in folks resolving this issue? I have never had this problem at all until the last month. Thanks for any insight that might help!

Perhaps this could be due to a fuel delivery issue, such as a fuel pump issue, or crud in the lines.

Check your fuel filter and test the fuel pump. You can plumb in the pressure gage and test the pressure while driving. If it drops when you start experience symptoms you describe you’ll know it is the pump.

Mechanic told me today that he tested fuel system. This issue is driving everyone crazy!

I had the same issue on my 2015. Solved the issue by replacing the crank position sensor. Easy diy repair. 😎

I would take Jeepfans advice on this. Replace the CPS again but make sure it is a mopar one.
