2012 JK-Experience Heartland Tour : The Journey Out

Born and raised in Southern California, our idea of off-roading has always been about big rocks, wide open desert and alpine forests. Of course, there is really is a so much more to off-roading than just that and, thanks to the Off Road Evolution JK-Experience, presented by Nitto Tire, we got a chance to see how those who live east of the Rockies play. Starting in the town of Terre Haute, Indiana, our 1,100 mile adventure would take us up through the state of Ohio and end all the way up at the Canadian border on Michigan's beautiful, Drummond Island.

Here are some pics of our journey out to the starting point in Indiana and pics from each day of our trip will be posted up this week. I hope you enjoy :cool:

The Journey Out - Destination Terre Haute, IN

Day 1 - Vegas to Albuquerque

I can't wait to one day join you in one of your inspiring adventures.

A question though, how do you find all of these neat things to check out along the way?
 
oh yeah, getting out to a destination is always a big part of the fun. this is probably the biggest reason why we would never want to trailer our jeep. there's just so much to see and do. :yup:

as far as how we find things, a lot of it is research and the rest is just looking around and saying "hey - let's check that out!!" :D
