My fiance has a 2000 TJ with a hard top and a soft top. As winter is coming here in Michigan, the hard top has gone back on! However, along the bottom edge of the back window barely touches the top of the tailgate in some spots and does not even touch the top of the tailgate in others. And the corners, have pretty good gaps as well right into the cab area. I used some foam automotive tape to close the gaps in the corners some, but what would be a better and more permanent fix for this? Can I get a new seal for the bottom? I am sure I am not the only one with this issue, as it seems pretty common, but what have y'all done to fix this situation?
Thanks!
First picture is with a flash showing the corner/seal which does not do much justice for how far away from the tailgate it actually is.
The second is without a flash so you can see the light coming through the corner to the inside of the Jeep, these were in the dark, so they didn't come out the best. I can provide more pictures which are better if needed.
And the last two are my temporary fix to help close the gap a bit to help keep the cold winter air out a bit better!
Thanks!
