I've noticed the new AC formula of the JL/JT gets stanky more often than any other Jeep or vehicle I've had. even doing all the above it still gets stanky.. I use A/C Pro Vent And Duct Cleaner I get at O'Reilly autoparts , easy to use, gets the stank out for about 5-6 months

Murphy indeed lol I installed the Curt on my JLU, the plugs were tight, the grease made the weather seal slide in place and allow that little bit extra to snap together

make sure no pins are bent, use some dielectric grease on the weather seal to get it to squeeze closed
