Knocking sound in the front end - tie rod gone to crap?

It looks like the jeep in your profile pic has King hydro bumps... My King bumps have loosened up a few times and will "clunk" at random times when loose.

Knocking sound in the front end - tie rod gone to crap?

^^^^ This Lay under the front end and have someone crank the steering wheel back and forth, just far enough to generate movement at the tires. Look, listen and feel for movement in anything.

    Suspension!!!

Often times the recommended bump stop height is to ensure the spring isn't compressed to the point of binding or failure.

    Gear Ratio

I think Spicer makes 1350 shafts for the JK also... I have no vote on who's the best. I'd gamble a gear and driveline service shop should be able to build a set for you even if they're not Jeep specialists. Got an interesting one… 🤔

Yeah, I would think that is plenty enough time and speed to check the temps and you’re right in the ballpark of normal temperature wise.

    Got an interesting one… 🤔

If your pinion bearings are starting to fail the pinion snout should get super hot. When I set up a differential I use an IR thermometer to check temps on the pinion snout and diff cover during break in. New bearings and gears will produce more heat than broken in ones but still shouldn’t...
