Just caught a glimpse of the smoke coming from the wildfires from the Tobacco Root Mtns today. Sad to see especially since there a lot of good trails in those mountains and a lot that we haven’t explored yet.

The GTOs do get driven, they keep their collection in Connecticut where their primary home is. A couple years ago they had several out here in Montana and drove them to Vegas.

I honestly cannot stand this car aside from the power. Maybe it’s just because I don’t like sports cars, give me muscle and i’d be happy. There is one family I work with that collect GTOs from the 60s and 70s… those are badass, unfortunately they only bring them out here on special occasions.

lol This is why I was driving it, have to get the tire patched tomorrow. This car has had nothing but bad luck with tires over the past couple years.

The Ooni wood fire has never had an issue when my brother in law was using it. The Kalamazoo gas ovens work just fine as well in the winter.

More fires are popping up left and right. 3 started yesterday.

Smoky sunsets are here

Thanks to the Horn, Cloudrest and the Bivens Creek fire in the Tobacco Roots, we are getting smoked out now. It wasn’t this smoky when I left for work today.

I heard they give them out for free if you wear some yoga pants…

Just had a BMW diesel start producing some serious issues because it’s not ran hard everyday. It’s used around Big Sky (under 40mph) rather than getting up to 60mph on a regular basis to regenerate the particulate filter. Sounds retarded to me. The engine power was significantly reduced...

Some of the Idaho national forest areas in Idaho near Coeur D’Alene were just destroyed 10 years ago when my wife and I last visited. I don’t remember the exact areas, but I remember diapers piled in fire pits near beautiful rivers and glass scattered across camp sites.

With August starting to warm things up to the 90’s (we were spoiled during July), the smoke rolls in with it. There is also a fire that started the valley over and is accelerating quickly. The way the sun was peeking through the clouds and hitting the smoke looked kind of cool this afternoon.
