Post-500 mile gear inspection. Also added an OME steering stabilizer to fix by busted OEM (flipped it too). Got tired of just looking at the King cardboard box so I installed the rear shocks today; fronts are still on backorder, should arrive Sept-Oct(ish)....

Check the transfer case fluid level, I had a similar experience when the Xfer case on my xterra was a bit low.

Good catch. You’re right, the measurement needs to be running fore-aft on the ball joints.

So assuming the slope of the garage floor (0.6) is in the same direction fore/aft on your axle then the reading off your bump stop shows that you’re sitting at roughly 6.5deg castor which yields a -0.5deg pinion angle (Assuming x axis is 0). IIRC the recommended castor angle should be approx...

Front drive shaft replaced with a JE Reel 1350. The stock CV boot was torn and nearly all the grease was gone. So I’m glad I replaced it when I did.

And done! Pic of the rivnuts and then the finished look. Should resolve the rubbing issues I was experiencing. JE Reel front driveshaft is on the list for next week.

Installed the rear MCE Fenders, fronts should be done tomorrow. I did not like that they include self-tapping screws for the install, I think it really makes it appear shoddy. So I replaced all the self tapping screws with 1/4”-20x5/8” stainless hardware screwed into rivnuts that I installed...

Well the rear shocks showed up..... now to wait a little longer for the fronts. Evo Spec 2.5 kings w/ adjusters. So excited to get the other pair in so I can install them!
