Should we advocate for shitty 4WD? There is plenty of shitty 4WD out there which is not much better than some AWD. "4WD high clearance" is not specific enough in many cases since it may still allow 4WDs which should not be on the trail.

Maybe it was Alterbob? 😂 Really a high quality 8k winch plus an extension, some snatch blocks, and a tree saver should be enough for any normal Jeep.

Someone I know updated the front of his 2-door Sport JL wrangler with a heavier steel bumper and this heavy winch. The front immediately sagged over 2". It looks stupid. Few jeeps have any need for a 12k winch.

It seems better to charge $100k per extraction, and the extraction is required in order to ever drive again.
