You need to lift it up slightly to get it through the axle seal. If you don't and force it, you will unseat the seal pushing it inward. Once you get past the seal, you will have to rotate the shaft to line up the splines to full engage it.

Yeah I know they offer both, I was more so saying I prefer the belt driven pump over the electric pump if I had to choose.

I’ve only done the kits with the belt driven pump and they have all been great with no issues. I’d go that route unless you really want to keep the electric pump. I think their in house electric “boosted” pump was more so to address the 4XE, ETorque and Diesel models as you would have to use...
