The Build and Adventures of Bearclaw

A 392 with 35s and 4:88 gearing (with full float axels) sounds like a suitable replacement, and it might cheer you up. So that is what the insurance company should offer!

DEALERSHIP EXPERIENCE - Do You Give Straight 10s?

Unfortunately, some times it takes time and pain to realize that the dealership you have been going to (for convenience) is staffed by employees who are clueless, or don't give a shit, or have been instructed to rip off the customer. I had a sales manager tell me that the letter (on corporate...

And so it Begins... the 392

Maybe it was attached to a board, which immediately disintegrated once the nail went through the tire.

DEALERSHIP EXPERIENCE - Do You Give Straight 10s?

The crummy dealerships do not seem to request surveys. I will be honest with all survey questions. If someone treated me kindly and intelligently, then the starting point is a 10 and they can only lose points due to poor service. If I was not even welcomed, then the starting point is a 7 and...

The Build and Adventures of Bearclaw

Jeeps (especially built ones) don't have a wonderful stopping distance so always allowing extra room is wise. He is lucky if there were no injuries.

ANOTHER WINDSHIELD Bites the Dust - What Number are You On?

I am sure that your 2 year old is a genius. It runs in the family. For us, the zero-deductble windshield coverage is an option (which we continue to pay). You might replace 3 windshields in a year, or it might take 6 years (as it did for me). Regardless, it is easier for us (humans) to part...

ANOTHER WINDSHIELD Bites the Dust - What Number are You On?

If you do the math, you will find that you have already paid for the windshield many times over already. The insurance company is making a killing from me. It seems better to pay that money into a savings or investment account since it won't take long to save enough for a windshield.

Random Internet Shit you've come across

When I was still a kid, I remember my dad turning on the heater while driving in the desert up long grades. It did seem to help, but it did not feel great as a passenger with the windows open (e.g already something like 116 degrees) and the heat on.

    2025 RAM 2500 HD : First Impressions

Our service at the Payson, Arizona DMV to register a trailer was also remarkably good. We made an appointment for later in the day, waited in the non-existing line, were attended to in just a few minutes, were done in five minutes, and after we left, there was even a phone call to make sure we...
