    If I had a Rubicon with a stock 44 up front, I'd run 37's all day. Might just be me but everything can and will break, so pick the right lines and you'll be fine. I have a JK sport with a Dana 30 up front on 35s - wheeled decently hard with 99k miles on the clock.

    35 or 37s on stock wheels

    35s can fit and work just fine on a factory JL Rubicon. That being said, an 11.5" wide 35" tall tire is your max without rubbing and without a lift/wheel spacers. If you want a 35x12.50 tire, you'll need at least 1.5" wheel spacers or an aftermarket wheel with 4.75" of backspacing or less.
