Driving east we climbed in elevation. Between the elevation and storm the temperature dropped quickly and it was definitely welcomed.

We then headed east on Tioga Road heading towards the east entrance and Hwy-395. We stopped at Olmsted Point. The view from the vista was stunning. I like the east side of the park even better that the west.

Once we departed Yosemite Valley we climbed up Big Oak Flat Road on the north side heading towards Tioga Road.

The ‘Grizzly Giant’

Monday we departed Shaver Lake and headed to Oakhurst, spending the night there we headed in to Yosemite Park on Hwy-41. First stop was Mariposa- Grove of the Giant Sequoias. Pictures do not adequately capture the massive size of these trees.

I want to thank Jeremy @Disciple Off Road for the invite to the High Sierra Run. It was a ton of fun with a great group of friends in a very beautiful area. We are really looking forward to exploring more of the area in the future. A few more pics. Moby being Moby.
