Getting pretty decent MPG The best tank was 19.1 MPG however that included a bunch of downhill. This overall average is not bad considering.

There is an island in the lake which is actually a smaller volcano. Wizard Island. Some buildings on the island I would like to go back and check the island out.

This park is beautiful but not a lot of people visit it. You can take a boat ride around it.

Girasol Family Mexican Restaurant on Main Street

There was a local donut shop located in a tiny cabin so we stopped and bought 1/2 dozen. What’s for breakfast?

Time for some chow and cocktails! The young lady who ran the museum recommended this local family run Mexican restaurant. I’m always down for good Mexican food. Prickly Pear Margs. 😋

Normally I would expect to see this in East Tennessee, Western North Carolina, and West Virginia. Very cool for a Scouting project. I hope this young man is somewhere running a distillery.

After cleaning up Big Yellow we swapped our luggage over to the 392 and prepared for the next portion of our trip. After a great Basque meal and Picon Punches with Eddie and Cindy we were ready to go north with our first stop being in Klamath Falls, OR. We enjoy museums so we stopped here...

This was an exploratory trip for us and we are definitely going back to hike and see more. Appreciate the tip on the best time to visit, that’s what we were thinking so it’s great to get your personal experience confirming that. It would be great to see it with lots of water. 👍🏻🇺🇸
