Not disagreeing that I should have found a way to get them to spec the first time. But I’ll stand by statement that the brackets are thinner than anything I’ve seen before.

Several bolt holes on my Gladiator are ovaled out. I tried to get them as tight as I could. But apparently wasn’t to spec. The brackets on the JT/JL platform are absurdly thin.

Maybe my favorite part of the whole trip was my buddy who’s rig is the one with the rooftop tent messaged me on his way home to Bend. “Thanks for a hell of a trip. I didn’t think half of that shit was possible.”

here's a taste of what I am talking about. these are very common opinions. this is my hope as well. not everything has been bad over the FCA era. i don't think people truly understand that the Wrangler likely doesn't survive without the JKU.

Oh and to add just a little bit more to the conversation, Wranglers and Gladiators are fast getting a reputation of being unreliable. I'm not talking about enthusiast groups. Gen pop thinks they cannot be relied on. That's not good. The vast majority of folks would not even know where to start...
