Here are a few shots of the rear Yukon 4.88s and the 35 spline ARB installed. Rear diff getting plummed for the ARB now and gussets getting burned on tomorrow. Seriously, not having the jeep does bum me out.
I average 16.8 with 35" KO2s and 3.21 gears (3.6 6speed). Stoked to get it back on Friday with the 4.88's installed. I'm ready to get some pep back in this jewel. MPG's be damned!
4.88 gearing going in front and rear, ARB 35 spline going in the rear with 35 spline chromo's for the rear. EVO gussets also going in on front C's. More pics to follow.
BF Goodrich A/T K02
Stated Size on Sidewall - 35x12.50x17
Actual Measured Size - 33-3/4" with 2,500 Miles (aired up to 30 psi for picture from typical 28 psi)
Side note - tire shine was NOT added by me, car wash guy snuck it on...ashamed
I just watched it a second time as well. Very impressive. I've got to get my fiancé to have the desire to learn to drive the six speed. When it comes to off-roading, both she and the jeep are a work in progress!
Structurally I'm sure it's fine, but as I stated, if you get in an accident and an adjuster sees a hacked up frame, you are screwed. If it is a trail only rig, I wouldn't have a problem doing it.
Yeah, I have reservations, and won't do it. When I get rear ended and the insurance adjuster look under there, I don't want him to see a mangled frame. Nope. Not doing it.
