I've done a couple of the Motech LS/LT swaps (long story) in my garage by myself. Motech has been doing this long enough that they have a pretty great system. And both times I had the jeep swapped and driving down the road for less than a set of dynatracs.

I don't really have any personal experience with any of the manufacturers so I can't give much of a recommendation. I grew up in the Midwest where aluminum snowmobile trailers were all the rage because they didn't rot apart in 3 years and now I work at an aluminum fab shop so that's why it came...

If weight is a major concern have you considered an aluminum trailer?

In my experience, so long as your using 6 point sockets metric will fit most any SAE. I believe the only exception is the 9/16-14mm where the 9/16 is slightly larger so the 14 is tight to put on. I was a "professional mechanic" for a while too and I have a very very limited set of SAE tools.

Sounds like a pulley at first but if it really has zero change when driving you may look over the vacuum lines. In the second video it seemed to be coming from closer to the air box than the alternator.
