2021 WAYALIFE New Year's Kick Off Run

I’m Greer and I often wheel with my 15 year old, Rhys. Scheduling conflicts have always made a New Years run impossible but hopefully this year will be different. 🤞🏻I have a 2010 JKUR on 37s with the usual mods. 🤟🏻🤟🏻 Sent from my iPhone using WAYALIFE

    Rock Light Advice

KC Cyclones are bright and waterproof. They have a six light kit with brackets, but I made my own kit using eight. I mounted them on magnets, so they can be positioned easily. For example, the bumper mounted lights can be moved to the inside of the bumpers when not in use. I got the magnet idea...

What was done to your rig this week?

Replaced the air bag module. Finally no dash lights. First time in years. Thought I might have to take it to the dealer for calibration, but thankfully not necessary. I also finished the Dynamat/Dynaliner project (passenger side). Hooked up the rear seat heaters too. Just in time for...

LOD sliders with Evo rocker guards?

Sorry, nothing handy. My Jeep is a pretty dark color so the rocker guards don’t really contrast in photos. Some of the other photos in this thread will give you a better idea of the look. Sent from my iPhone using WAYALIFE

LOD sliders with Evo rocker guards?

Here you go. You can see daylight between the sliders and guards. The PS guards are aluminum, btw, which is thicker than steel. My sliders are bolted, not welded. Don’t know if that makes a difference. Sent from my iPhone using WAYALIFE

LOD sliders with Evo rocker guards?

I’m running LOD sliders with Poison Spider rocker guards, which appear to be pretty much the same as EVOs. There’s enough clearance. I can take some pics if you want. Sent from my iPhone using WAYALIFE

Winch Line - which is best/strongest

A knot reduces a rope’s strength by about 25%. Splicing is better. I think you should be looking at whether there is a sharp edge at your fairlead or near your drum that’s causing this. Or a burr on your fairlead. Nice Jeep, btw. Sent from my iPhone using WAYALIFE

Can’t break my caliper bolts loose

Throw some heat on there using a propane torch. The coefficient of expansion of aluminum is greater than that of steel, meaning the hole in the aluminum knuckle will expand faster than the steel bolt in the hole, helping to loosen the bolt. Sent from my iPhone using WAYALIFE

Panamint Valley Days - November 11-13

Panamint Valley Days is coming up, November 11-13. A fun group of trails in a very scenic place adjacent to Death Valley. Plus, the entry fee supports a good cause, preserving OHV access in California. I just registered today. Anyone else going? Sent from my iPhone using WAYALIFE

Wet Okole Seat Covers - JKU

Wet Okole neoprene seat covers for Jeep Wrangler JKU (4 door). Front and back. Black and white color, pattern as shown. These covers are faded and need to be cleaned, but otherwise in decent shape other than the wear spot on the drivers seat (shown in photo). No holes or tears. Best of all...

What did Brown Santa show up with today..

Not my door, but the best I can provide at the moment. There’s a switch on the panel, under the latch. I usually just use my key fob, if the Jeep is off. Sent from my iPhone using WAYALIFE

Steering Stop Bolts - What Size is it?

I just checked an old set of knuckles in my garage. They are 3/8-24. So 3/8” diameter, fine thread. The stock bolts are 1 1/4” long with a tack welded nut. Sent from my iPhone using WAYALIFE
