Bumper and winch installed. We really screwed up though. Went too far bleeding the brakes and drained the reservoir ;( PITA!

    Why are coilovers better?

Yeah in the past it has been price and complicated installation. EVO's bolt on kit changed that dramatically. It is still more expensive, that's the shocks. But much less so that previously, and the install is now pretty simple. It's weird to think it was only one year ago (or less?) that we...

Finally done! Everything is installed and connected. I took these photos before the lines were connected, but that is done too. The ram cycles stop to stop. I think it lines up as they suggest, so should be good to go. Dave

Rear end is all in and put together. Although I may need an adjustable rear track bar. At ~ ride hight the axle is about 1" East (toward the passenger side). Not sure why; maybe it was always off...? Then moved to the front. No photos but all the new control arms are attached to the...

Trail Cover or Full Car Cover

Great info thank you. One more question I forgot: I am installing EVO sliders. Will they get in the way at all?

Trail Cover or Full Car Cover

My new Jeep has both hard and soft tops. Come spring I plant to switch to the soft top throughout the summer. But there will be many times I want to run doorless and topless when the weather report is nice for several days. The problem is, I work at a sand and gravel mine, so when it is...

Hmmm. Actually you want to call the guy I brought in to do the welding. You don't want me within 20' of a welding machine. But I can cut and grind with the best of them! :yup: Seriously don't underestimate how much welding this is. Dale had to run back to his shop and get another...

My JKUR Upgrades - what am I missing?

I see you ordered the bumpstops front and rear. The fronts were very straightforward. The rears are easy but I would suggest you find someone with a plasma cutter to make those frame cuts. It made what would have been a miserable torch/grind job a simple 1 minute cut. Even if you had to pay...

Re-installing the gas tank and priming the system

I'm getting close to the point of re-installing my gas tank after installing my lift. When I took it off there was one fitting at the front that was pressurized (I got a minor dousing when I disconnected it). Is there a specific procedure I need to go through in order to get gas back into the...

Welding done! Oh that feels good. Now clean up some splatter, paint and put back together! Actually it is not quite done. Rock sliders have to be done yet and we also have to figure out flipping the exhaust loop. But all the suspension is done! Two photos of the axle gussets: Front...

    Oso Build Thread

Finally making some progress. The suspension and gussets are all ready to be welded. Everything is tacked in place for tomorrow morning at 9am when Dale Jr. shows up to do the welding. Cut outs for rear bump stops. This was a bit unnerving. Very deep cuts in the frame! Rear lower...

PSC Steering Assist 2013 and CAI system

At this point I am not planning on a cooler. It is a great question about the hose clamps. I don't know the difference between the factory pump curve and this new one, but I am guessing the main difference is flow not pressure. It might just have a bigger impeller. Don't know. The one spot where...
