Ha! Great point; I'm a slacker. It was a quick trip but we finished a little early Wednesday, so I had some time between 4-6 so I ran up there. Also got to do a little of this, which was just fantastic:

Like FoxC said, 4.5 should be plenty of backspacing for what you want to do. Because of coil overs I need 3.5" so I added 1.5" spacers to 4.625" backspacing, which gets me to 3.125". Very close to where you would be with spacers. I agree it's not a good idea to get spacers less than 1.5"...

No. Mine look like this...

Yesterday we finished the EVO Protek skids. The oil pan and tranny skids fit fine, but the third piece that protects the exhaust crossover pipe does not fit with long arms. So we cut it to fit. Definitely better than the nothing but not as good as the real thing.
