Motor is out!

Dang this sounds fun!

After having my sister in the hospital with heart failure and now having to go back to work full time. I ran out of time to get the hemi swap done myself so it’s on its way to Jeep Speed Shop to get done. 1 month from today I should be ripping around in it!!

Because they have about 50k miles on them and are 10 years old. I am gonna rebuild them or maybe just sell them as is and someone else can deal with it.

Fronts all done.

As you can tell the motor swap hasn’t quite begun yet but the rebuild has. Jeep is on the lift for brand new coilovers. It’s getting new front and rears.

I haven’t started taking the motor out yet. Just prepping everything. Actually gonna go out and put new coilovers on it and new front seats right now.

In the middle of a 6.4 hemi swap right now in a 2013 jeep jk.

I bought this jeep brand new in 2013 did a full build on it within the first few years. Dynatracs, coilovers, 40’s and all the fixing. Went through a divorce and sold the jeep to a buddy with only 25k miles on it. Fast forward 4.5 years I bought it back. When I got it back my buddy had done 0...

I hate to say this but I’m out for this trip. I want to come really bad but I’m just not gonna be able to swing it this year. We have 7 lab puppies that are a week old.

I’m doing a 6.4 hemi and 8 speed and just the parts to do the swap and make it work in the jeep are about 21k just in parts. There are a ton of odds and ends to make them work correctly. Why would you need 700 hp?

So after a bunch more talking and back and forth with Motech and Jeep Speed Shop I have decided to do the swap myself in my garage and do the 6.4 hemi and 8 speed. After a lot of thinking about it I just can’t do a GM in a jeep. Jeep is also getting brand new coilovers, new seat, all new joints...
