I use Torco RGO, but the stuff is as expensive as liquid gold. You can find Valvoline 85/140 mineral based, but you might have to order it. Mobil also makes a mineral based 85/140 but I've never seen it on a parts store shelf.
Hydro bumps FTW. I know it's further down the rabbit hole and a wise man once posted
But I like the rabbit hole, enough to pay extra...
And there's so many brands and lengths available now, dial in your bump where you want it.
Unless your boy is a really big boy, I've had my entire fat ass hanging by the @wayoflife CB bar when my shoe slipped off the rock rail. I'd imagine some of the MOLLE panels are the same. It most likely won't be handling his entire body weight. And good game on being an awesome dad!
Good save, and something you'll remember...for at least 39 days. With as many Jeeps as you have Eddie I'm surprised you don't have stock in a bottle jack factory.
Well, if it's on Sherman Pass 4x4 trail it's already gone, probably met some dynamite. There are a couple of other trails that come in from different directions (like North meadow pass trail) and cross the trail we were on but we didn't come across any immovable objects on our trip.
Me and the wife volunteered to help a local club with their annual Sherman pass trail clearing of dead trees so the trail can be opened to the public. If groups like this didn't do these things it's doubtful many of these trails in SoCal would ever open up again (the forest service gave us one...
Well bummer man, sorry to hear that. I found some non splined taper lug nuts, they are not acorns but straight tapers, but my wheels have a good tapered surface and they are holding just fine. Remember you are lug centric now, so finding the right lug nut along with the proper torque/ sequence...
If I wasn't loving the shit outta my coilovers I'd give them a try. Used to run Ohlins on bikes, they've got too good of a rep to ruin to put out a shitty shock for anything.
I couldn't agree more, I had to make an emergency descent from 12000 feet when my wife passed out from altitude sickness, down a very rough trail, shits more dangerous than people think. We now always carry canned oxygen in the Jeep and it works.
I wiped out the last liquor store in cedar city that had it, unfortunately all good things must end and my supply is depleted. If you see it somewhere give it a try, I was like "oh damn, we may need a taxi out of here!" when I found it.
