    CoWj Build /I'm back

Next up were a whole host of parts that I had been sitting on quite a while in some cases. I had ordered the Iron Rock Offroad high clearance transmission crossmember and their transfer case skid plate back in December 2017 but never got around to installing it. I pulled the factory...

Here just a couple more from the run, lower down on some small obstacles on the trail. Had to turn on the lights for shits and giggles. Sent from my VS996 using Tapatalk

    CoWj Build /I'm back

Next up was a run on a trail that both my dad and I had wanted to do since we first heard of it. The trail is called T-33A plane crash and as the name suggests the trail takes you out to a short hike that ends at the location in which a T-33A jet crashed during a training mission, the cause of...

The first big Project on the Jeep was to sleeve the front axle. Yes I am sticking with a dana 30 on the front. I haven't had any real issues with it other than 1 cracked cv and one busted boot. As I want 33s max and I don't "wheel" the jeep all the heavy very often, I didn't think that a dana 44...

Upon returning from the trips I bought a tacoma to daily drive. I call him Burt, its a 1998 Regular cab 2.7 i4 with a 5 speed and 4wd. I bought it from the second owner with 247k miles. He has owned it since 6k miles. Its my daily driver as I had been driving 50 miles a day to work a summer. And...

The Option line through a puddle on our memorial day trip caused me a bit of trouble. It is now an optional line due to it being the original route but a pond has formed in that path. It is possible to make it through with out winching and it took me a few tries but I made it out without...

Next up, A New rear bumper Build. This marks bumper set up #5 Or maybe #6? No sure at this point. I drove home the weekend before finals to get a head start on this project as I thought I was driving my Jeep to Expo West for work. (Didn't end up driving it) But I ordered a set of Comp 4x4...

    CoWj Build /I'm back

In April I got a quick trip out to fruita for some mountain biking, which unfortunately got rained out on saturday night. We had a torrential down pour at about 2am causing minor flooding in the campsite, hail, and lighting. I crawled inside the Jeep to continue sleeping. It made the drive home...

Moab was one of the first times I got to camp solo in my New set up so I had to get a few photos of that and the drive there and home. Yes I live 4 hours from moab. Its a pretty good deal, once the winter set in here up in Gunnison I can head out there whenever I want. Sent from my VS996 using...

Ran the Falkens down at 15psi and got loads of traction. My buddies 4runner was definitely on the larger size of rigs that can fit through the squeeze. Driving through the sandy section was one of my favorite parts of the whole trail. It finally happened, Front tire popped up and grabbed the...

    CoWj Build /I'm back

Been a little while as usual as I am terrible at remembering to update these threads. And by the looks of it I haven't even done anything since march this year. So I guess I will start with Moab, I went on a quick weekend trip to moab in February but never posted it here. I drove out and met...

    CoWj Build /I'm back

Went back to the Front Range for the long weekend, primary to install new rear control arms. I got a full set from Iron Rock off road, they are fully adjustable and I opted for the flex joints on one end of the lowers and it comes with the flex joint for the upper rear axle mount. The Install...

    WJCO's Build Thread, 1999 WJ

The awning room is nice, and I touched on it in a YouTube video I made of my Jeep. And I plan next weekend to go out and hopefully make a full video on how to set it up and stuff.

Then & Now Pics - Let's See em!

Before and after. May not be a Jk but I love the Wj, it does everything I ask it to do. With heated seats and the nice rumble of a v8. Hoping to long arm the rear, and get it on some 34s with 4.10 gears, lock the front end and more come end of this summer.

But I also did the 242 swap late summer last year to increase the MPG and to be able to lock in in 4hi when going over the snowy passes driving to and from gunnison. Picked up 2 MPG overall and it helps when driving on passes like this.

    CoWj Build /I'm back

Stopped by the shop again. Previously I went 68.5" up, with the rear shocks replaced and a 1.5" spacer the Jeeps sitting perfectly and made it to 73" (from the center of the hub). It went from a height of 26" to 28.5" and the rear flex (bottom of center cap to fender) went from 26" to 28" so an...

    CoWj Build /I'm back

Working to get everything on the rear suspension. Dropped by a local shop to take pre measurements on flex on the rear. I'm going back Monday to test the new rear shocks. Speaking of new shocks I got then and the 1.5" spacers in soon after getting home (all yesterday) so it is now sitting level...
