    tires

OP, here's what the Dana Corporation has to say about the strength of the Dana 44 and Dana 60 rear axles. Some people may say use sleeves and gussets and/or weld a truss on, those components will help the housing some but do nothing to strengthen other components such as: carrier bearings...

Wayalife is a joke and you clearly don't understand the true concept of Jeeping

If you would like some reason perhaps I can give you some. You believe that the Dana 30 off-road use with 37" tires. Here's what the Dana Corporation has to say about the strength of the Dana 44 and Dana 60 rear axles. Some people may say use sleeves and gussets and/or weld a truss on, those...

A good differential cover would also be useful. This Solid cover only cost me $65 and even shows up with a big tube of RTV.

The Official I Hate wayoflife / Eddie Thread

I am amazed that I actually read all of this thread. I was reading what Matti, Chris, etc. type up and I now know what I think of them without having to meet them in person. It's really simple.

    4" lift

I have a 4" Teraflex long arm LCG kit with LT285/75-R17 Toyo M/T's. I thought I might go bigger than a 35" tire but I probably never will and am installing 3" Evo coils on Saturday. The tire I really want to run is a 35x10.50-R17 Interco SSR. Jacking up the vehicle might push the frame up but...

    A wave from San Diego

Greetings from San Diego, I currently have a 2012 two-door Jeep. I've done some amazing things with it, many unwise things with also. I've learned many worthwhile lessons from this website. Hopefully I'll learn plenty of new things and make a few friends here. Some of the things done to the Jeep...

    U101 Lost Communication with TCM

I was driving through some desert roads and my brake fault and sway bar lights started to randomly turn on. After that I: stopped, turn the vehicle off, did a quick inspection and found nothing wrong. I started it back up and the two lights randomly came back on and started doing it more...

    Three cracked Pintlers...

My failed wheels were inspected on May 2013, so I have a hard time believing that this is the cause of a single bad run. I haven't found any reports of Pintler Beadlocks failing in the same mechanism, but adding a beadlock ring would do nothing to stop the kind of failure my wheels suffered...

    Three cracked Pintlers...

I bought five AEV Pintler wheels just over a year ago and had them installed along with a lift and some other components. A few months ago the first wheel cracked. The crack occurred where the spoke meets the rim. I had a weld bead placed inside of the rim so that it could act as a marginal...
