    Too Sunny to Work

On Tuesday the weather report said that it was going to be a brilliant day for us in the Seattle area. Having heard that I ask the boss if I could take Wednesday off for no other reason that it was going to be too sunny to work. After thinking about it for a bit, he said "Sure", then he gave me...

We went to the 4wp show in Puyallup with Emma our 11 week old Border Collie, the again to the Triple X burger Jeep show this morning in Issaquah, where a number of people already knew her by name from the 4wp show. She is certainly loving the attention!

    Random Photos

A friend let me try out a few of his collection of firearms this weekend. I think this one was my favorite. All said and done I got to try out a Beretta 92, Kimber 1911, Glock 9mm, and the AK-47. From what I understand, having been the first time ever firing any type of firearm, that hitting...

What food do you take on the trail?

What food do you take with you out on the trail. When I wheeled with my kids we used to wrap hotdogs up in foil and put them on the manifold (xj - 4.0L) . By lunch time, they'd be nice and hot. Also did burritos and a can of soup once but always went back to the hotdogs. Bread, peanut butter and...

Anyone have a ham radio installed? If so how useful have you found them out on the trail? I let my license lapse a few years ago because I just wasn't using it. But I am now considering taking the test again.

    Going through withdrawl

Many years ago I wheeled (and destroyed) an XJ, followed by an Early Bronco (sold, not destroyed). Then life got in the way and had to liquidate pretty much everything including tools and toys (she really meant it when she said she wanted 1/2). After that came the recently divorced 300zx...
