Thinking about a 2017 JKR recon

    A little poser persuasion.

    Jackal01's JKU build

Wife's new Rubicon Recon. No build thread but she does want a 2 or 3 inch lift. Probably Enforcer or evo level. 35s. Fender trim. And stinger for the bumper, removing end caps. And probably a M8000 warn. Standard poser pics after a good washing.

    His & hers Jeeps!

Well Harvey claimed my wife's Mustang. With Jeep offering employee pricing it was too good to pass up a new JKU. She's stoked and I didn't even talk her into it! Pretty nice improvements over my 2011 Sport, though. Better shots tomorrow.

    Jackal01's JKU build

Continued THE staircase... Showcasing the rig unintentionally. The trip continued on to locating airway beacons which can be found in the first thread started by Eddie. This was my first trip with my "new" axles, wheels, tires, ram, etc. I had zero issues and everything performed as...

    Jackal01's JKU build

Finally went through my phone and have some pictures and videos of the Exodus trip. Our trip was 2 1/2 weeks, 4350 miles and man was it hard coming back to hot ass Texas. I miss the snow and 40 degree highs already. It was a successful trip. Met some great people and saw some amazing rigs. All I...

    Wines of the Week

Got this at Four Leaves winery in Durango a couple weeks ago. I went in for their regular port but he was a few weeks out from bottling. In the meantime I bought 2 of his 5 remaining bottles of this limited release one. It's like liquefied cake. In a plastic cup since I was working on post-trip...

CONCRETE ARROW QUEST : Search for Transcontinental Airway Beacons

Well the one screenshot of the West Texas Suborbital launch station won't load. It was to reference the two beacons believed to be on his property. Thanks for editing my post with these pictures, however. I appreciate it.

CONCRETE ARROW QUEST : Search for Transcontinental Airway Beacons

My phone crashed while typing thus some of the pictures were "lost". Below are them in order starting with a map.

CONCRETE ARROW QUEST : Search for Transcontinental Airway Beacons

With the official Texas Exodus trip ending last Thursday the misses and I spent another 9 days doing our own thing in Colorado. We attempted Wyoming but decided against it after one of the roads from Estes Park going East was closed and would have added a fair amount of time to detour. I wanted...

    The 2017 Great Texas Exodus!

Misses took over driving for a while. Posting just a few since reception west of Midland sucks. Last one is probably the best one...

    Suds of the Day

At Trinity Brewery in Colorado Springs. "Sour Cherry Threads". Aged 3 years in oak barrels with a ton of pie cherries. It's a dark sour. It's heavenly.

    All things Colorado

Lol. Damnit! Looks like you want through the RMNF today? We were there yesterday! I was taking some cell phone pics and video via my canon binos with image stab. It worked out well enough once I got both lined up. Got the tail end of one calling, too. https://youtu.be/4PKLgdoxtoo

Tonight's lodging after 11 days of KOA. Hints..."redrum" and "no way? Thats awesome! We landed on the moon!"

    All things Colorado

Negative. Drove through from Durango to Estes Park. 15 years ago in Boy Scouts, however, I submitted Mt Shavano. Didn't realize we would drive right by it today (center peak). It was neat to see it again after so much time.

    All things Colorado

Somewhere between Pagosa Springs and Salida. Perhaps someone from Colorado can tell me what that wooden fence thing is. Saw a ton of them on 160 today. Only in open plains areas.
