I feel you. I’m in the Air Force and am always in secured facilities so no windows all day. Then it’s a good hike across a parking lot to wherever I was able to get parking. No fun.

I did the Reverse of this when I got married back in 2014. Damn near 8 years later, finally have another Jeep. Biggest vehicular regret of my life, but happy to be in a JLU now.

Nothing spectacular but first thing I did to our brand new JLU is put Sahara steps on it 🤦‍♂️ Not the permanent entry solution, just the “for now” solution. Shopping for a good deal on wheels and tires around me now (eying some Freedom Edition take-offs here locally). More to come, hopefully...

Thanks, man. already picked up the Sahara steps. Eventually if this ever becomes more than a soccer mom jeep I’ll work with a buddy up in Austin to build rock rails w/ steps but for now the OE Sahara steps will be perfect. I’m going to find some water/weather proof lights to make puddle/step...
