Ok I'm trying to replace my leaky rear pinion seal and can't seem to get the flange nut loose. Is there something i need to do before loosening it?

trying to find out how warm my rear diff should be getting. I installed a new rear diff cover this weekend and got under the jeep to check for leaks after my 50 mile commute. I noticed that the rear diff was pretty warm. I did remember to put fliud of the correct type and amount in. It was not...

Is there enough slack in the stock line to accomodate the extra travel? if not is there an extension or longer line...
